Giveaway!!! — Now CLOSED –

Yeap! We are having a giveaway and I hope you’ll like it.

How do you fancy winning an Amy Butler pattern?  Since many of you have said that this year you want to sew more, we thought of giving you some help and giving away one pattern.

The frency bag pattern is timeless and a favourite that we have to keep re-stocking.

What do you need to do? Well just let us know which ones are the 3 fabrics that you will use to make it (from the ones we have in stock).

If I was allowed to enter I will probably go for any of the Echo designs, but this new collection could also make a great bag, and then we have the solids! :) oh! decisions, decisions!

Anyway, leave a comment mentioning your 3 fabrics, next week on Wednesday 8th February we will mention the winner.

Good luck!!

Ooh, I love Amy Butler’s bags! I think I would use 3 fabrics from Sandi Henderson’s Collection, the Vintage Ironwork and Modern Meadow for the outside, with the Garden Gate on the inside to give it a bit of pop :)

  2. Jane says:

Thanks for such a generous giveaway. If I won, I’d choose the two green florals from the flour sack collection, with the screamin’ yellow dots for the inside! x

  3. Jo says:

I’ve just made my first ever bag, so I’m hungry for new ideas! I’d love to make this bag using Calypso Dots and Florine – Dusted Plumb for the outside and Kona solid in Ash for the inside. Lovely!

Hello! a fantastic giveaway! If I would make this lovely bag I would choose your Daisy Cottage – Mini Floral – Grey for the main part, Mama’s Feedsack Dots – Screamin’ Yellow for the top, and Daisy Cottage – Stripe – White for the handles! That I think will make a charming happy springy bag! Cannot wait to make it! Anna

Thanks for the giveaway! I loves Amy Butler’s bags! I will pick Calypso spindle in green, Calypso Kite Tails in Turquoise and Calypso Floral in Turquoise.

  7. Scrapiana says:

Hi Lizzet! Nice giveaway! I made my choice before looking at the other comments and have spookily picked a very similar combo to Anna. My choice would be Daisy Cottage Mini Floral Grey for main body of bag, Daisy Cottage Dots Brown for the top of the bag, back to Mini Floral for handles, and lining/pockets in Daisy Cottage Stripe White. Actually, I might reverse the first two… Decisions, decisions! I also agree that the Echo range would work really, really well. Happy bag-making all!

  8. [...] a fab crochet book here, while Lizzet at The Fabric Loft has an Amy Butler bag pattern up for grabs here. And if that’s not enough for you, Maureen Cracknell is giving away a beautiful fabric bundle [...]

  9. Oooh, I’m another one who would go for Feedsack fabrics. I’d have Floursack Red Plaid Flowers for the body of the bag and the handles, the Floursack Red Flowers for the top bit, and then I would use Mama’s Feedsack Dots in Screamin’ Yellow for the lining. It would be very very bright, but I would love it. Thanks for the giveaway – I’ll give it a mention on the blog later today.

  10. Lisa Greenwood says:

What a fabulous bag! There are so many amazing fabrics on your website. I first thought about using Chidren at Play – Just Stay Little – Turquoise. But then I eventually settled on: Dumb Dot – Michael Miller – Spice, for the main body, Innocent Crush Voile – Mixed Signals in Striking, for the handle and Ready Set Go – Hello Helicopters – Chocolate for the top part. A complete mishmass, but it will be amazing once finished and a bag I would be proud to use all day everyday. Good luck to everyone :D x x

  11. Raven says:

it’s got to be ( for me anyway ) STITCH HEXAGON for the main body …. Remix Burmuda strip for the coallr and handles and Kona in my all time favourite Pmegranate for all other bits .

  12. I love Amy Butler, and this bag would be perfect for carting round all my kids clobber this summer. I really like the So Sophie collection. Statement Cream for the outside (although might have to keep that away from dirty fingers!), Petal Purple for the inside and collar and Tapestry purple for the handles (can you tell I like purple lol?). You are very naughty because now I am browsing more fabric from you again – I feel another order coming on shortly….

  13. Oo, I’m still a beginner, but I’m loving the learning process. I’d use: Vintage Ironwork-Midnight, Garden Gate-Midnight and Hope Valley-Thistle Leaf-Piney Woods. Lovely!

  20. Eilidh says:

Well that was fun. I’m pretty conservative when it comes to bags and I love navy so I’m going for Lotta Jansdotter’s Ruta Indigo and Ranka Indigo and then Sevenberry – Tiny Dots Navy on Off-white for the lining. Thanks to Ali for the heads up and to you for the giveaway.
