Giveaway!!! — Now CLOSED –

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012

Yeap! We are having a giveaway and I hope you’ll like it.

How do you fancy winning an Amy Butler pattern?  Since many of you have said that this year you want to sew more, we thought of giving you some help and giving away one pattern.

The frency bag pattern is timeless and a favourite that we have to keep re-stocking.

What do you need to do? Well just let us know which ones are the 3 fabrics that you will use to make it (from the ones we have in stock).

If I was allowed to enter I will probably go for any of the Echo designs, but this new collection could also make a great bag, and then we have the solids! :) oh! decisions, decisions!

Anyway, leave a comment mentioning your 3 fabrics, next week on Wednesday 8th February we will mention the winner.

Good luck!!

Sunday Stash #13

Sunday, September 11th, 2011

Today’s Sunday Stash is a must is every fabric stash.  It is Dumb Dots by Michael Miller in Spice.  Why is so special about this fabric.  Well, I have always considered dots to be an staple in any stash.  They are just very useful. You can use them to line a small bag, for appliqué, to add a nice border to a quilt or bunting, etc.  Of course spotty designs can be use in large projects, you will only need to look at the High Street and see how fashionable they are.

This particular design has a dark chocolate background and rich red spots.   I am sure many of you will see the potential!!!

For more spotty designs click here.

Have a lovely weekend!

Sunday Stash #6

Sunday, July 10th, 2011

I don’t want to describe this fabric because the design is just so……., well, so cool that I decided it is better to leave it to images to do the work.  The only thing that I can add is that this beautiful cotton voile, Turn of Events in Indigo by Anna Maria Horner is the chosen fabric for this Sunday Stash Sale.

Actually, I just couldn’t resist to say that it has the softest feel and a fabulous drape.

Happy Shopping!

PD  Just a quick reminder about shipping here.

Autumn blues

Tuesday, September 28th, 2010

The last few days I have really struggled to get out of bed and I have been wishing that in the afternoon I could just sit with a good book (maybe this one or the one that I am reviewing later this week -keep an eye for this one!) and a cup of hot chocolate.  I am really missing the sun and warm weather, which is so unusual for me at this time of the year.  I love autumn and early autumn usually puts a smile on my face.  It is not too cold, not too hot, you get the late harvest of the summer, and the early autumn harvest too, which means lots of baking and a house smelling of apple and blackberry cake. But already this September I am really missing the summer; maybe because it has been so good this year, so to help chase away my autumn blues I thought I would post some pictures here to remind me of my summer this year. Hopefully any of you feeling the same autumnal blues will enjoy them too.

A Woodstock cottage on a beautiful summer's day

Cycling in the countryside

Roses from my front garden

Juicy raspberries

Strawberry picking

Perfect cutlery for picnics

Very very wild chamomile in my garden

Eating dinner...and lunch and breakfast al fresco

Didn't go this summer but wouldn't mind a trip to the Caribbean!

Love,

Lizzet xx
